Misha Lenn, Russian (1962 - )
Misha Lenn was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and he is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist who has developed a very distinctive style of watercolor painting. The complex patterns of Klimt, the elegance and grace of Degas, the romantic verve of Renoir, technical command of Monet, and the vibrant energy of Toulouse Lautrec have been his primary influences. We recognize their influence in his works as he combines elegant brush strokes with dazzling watercolor. Impressionism permeates his work.
Misha received his Masters's Degree from the prestigious Academy of Art and Design in St. Petersburg, Russia. In order to feel the dance movement better, the artist took tango lessons and the results are seen quite beautifully in his Tango dance works.
He has had numerous solo exhibitions and his watercolor paintings can be found in private and museum collections in the United States, Russia, Germany, Canada, France, Sweden, Spain, Israel and Monaco. Misha has won numerous awards for his logo designs and watercolors.
His prestigious list of corporate clients includes Calvin Klein, DKNY, Harvard University, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Ballet, Time Magazine, Godiva Chocolatier, just to name a few. His private collectors include Mikhail Gorbachev, Diana Krall, conductor Yuri Temirkanov, actor John Malkovich, composer John Williams, and many others.
He has been the official artist of the Boston Marathon; the Westminster Kennel Club, NY, and for several years each, the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, MA and the Equestrian Games, and the Vensjuy Ball, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia.
