This was purchased from RC Gorman in 1966 in San Francisco. Beautiful, elegant, early work of RC Gorman. Despite being subdued, it grabs everybody's attention the minute they see it. Then they read the touching inscription - "mi madre a tu quiero mucho". Translated -My mother I love you very much. The work was exhibited at the Harwood Museum Of Art (part of UNM) as a part of the show “R.C. Gorman: The Early Years". It was on display from May 18, 2013 until September 8, 2013. The last two attached pictures from that show are included.
