The son of Cantonese-Jamaican parents, Wong Shue, whose work has been displayed internationally, was born in Jamaica, West Indies in December 1952. At the age of fourteen Wong Shue began the study of drawing under Alfred Chin from Canton, China. He studied art in Jamaica and California.
For Wong Shue, the life of the artist is a two-fold issue. He believes that The artist creates the art, and the art creates the artist. This philosophy has allowed Wong Shue to approach the creation of his artwork with complete freedom from conventional restraints, which often restricts the artist. The result is a style of painting combining several mediums at once to achieve a look that is both timeless and very contemporary.
Up for sale is a visually impressive serigraph entitled "Sambistas". Arguably the most intense and sought after limited edition by Wong Shue. It is in marvelous condition. If you are looking for a work of art that has impact, grace and allure, you may have just found it.

This print was created in two series of 300 prints, one set was printed on Japon paper, while the other half was printed on thick arches paper.
